Self-Advocacy



 

What is Self-Advocacy? It is speaking up for yourself and your child in regard to handling your Trisomy 18 pregnancy. It is having control over your child's care.

It is having the information and resources available to make the best decisions for your child, and then communicating them to your child's doctor, therapist, or other caregiver.

We hope to help you obtain the information and resources that you need to adequately advocate for your child. As you learn and uncover important information, we invite you to share it with other parents in the Trisomy 18 community so that others may benefit as well.
