The Trisomy 18 Foundation families represent a powerfully compelling story of hope. Media outlets all over the country are encouraged to cover stories inspired by the Trisomy 18 Support experience of "Families Caring for Families."

Families in all 50 states and many countries overseas use Trisomy 18 Support. To enhance the local appeal of your story, we can connect you with families in your area.

The Trisomy 18 Foundation Online Media Center in development here will provide materials and guidelines to communicate with the media about the Trisomy 18 Foundation goals and achievements, about Trisomy 18 as a condition and about families living with the affects of a Trisomy 18 in their family's life and their child's life.

This area under development will include Foundation highlights, bios, fact sheets, and information about the how to work with the media for parents.

What is Trisomy 18?

After Down's Syndrome, Trisomy 18 Syndrome is the second most common chromosomal disorder diagnosed in pregnancy with 1 in 3000 live births annually.

It is a condition linked with high rates of

  • Stillbirths and Infant Deaths
  • Heart Defects and Neurological Problems
  • Growth Retardation
