A Quilt for Elizabeth
Elizabeth Walsh’s Grandmother Mary Mathis has made a beautiful quilt in memory of her granddaughter, Elizabeth who was born and became an angel on April 18, 2011.
Mary and her daughter, Carol and son in law Ryan decided to sell raffle tickets to raise funds to help other families facing a Trisomy 18 diagnosis.
The tickets sold for $5.00 each with the winner of the drawing receiving the beautiful quilt. The drawing was held on Sunday, October 13, 2013 in their hometown of Rankin, Illinois.
The winner was Mr. Jerry Seidel of Illinois. Jerry is aretired Ophthalmologist with 7 children and 7 grandkids and was SO excited to win the quilt. His wife passed away a few years ago. We are sure that when Jerry sleeps under the quilt all the love he and his wife shared will join with all the love that created the quilt and bought the raffle tickets!
Thank you to all of you who bought over 560 Tickets and raised $2840!
